Serving Locals: »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Engineering Students Develop Solar Panel System
»Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ students take their capstone project into the real world.
What began as a senior capstone project at »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ in 2024–2025 has now become a fully installed 6-kW, 12-panel vertical bifacial solar panel system in Roxbury, Vermont, for John Aberth and Laura Hamilton.
The original prototype was developed by mechanical engineering seniors Megan Juhola '25, Clayton Cisar '25, Demetrius Deering '25, and Khiari Tyler '25, who have since graduated from »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ, under the mentorship of . The project continued the following year with seniors Matthew Harvey '26 and Max Gargiulo' 26, also now »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ alumni, working on the installation under Professor Mark Atwood. This project was in partnership with Troy McBride and Leif Johnson at »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Technologies.
